Triple Edge Poker Rules
Triple Edge Poker is nearly identical to 3-Card Poker. You don’t draw or use community cards after the initial deal. It’s simply your hand pitted against the house.
Betting Options
The two bets in Triple Edge Poker are the initial ante and the pair plus side bet. Let’s take a look at the difference and when to place each one.
Ante Bet
You need to make this bet to play the game and get a hand.
Pair Plus Bet
Place this optional wager if you think you’ll have at least a pair of cards in your hand.
Playing a Round
The objective of the game is to have a stronger hand than the house. After you bet, the game deals you three cards face up and three cards face down to the house.
Next, the only choice you’ll make in the game is to double your ante and reveal the house’s cards or fold.
You only have the strength of your three-card hand to make that decision.
Hand Strength Chart
Three card poker hand order is a bit different than other online poker games. Most notable is that a straight beats a flush, and three of a kind beats them both.
Use this chart as a guide while you play.

Triple Edge Poker Table Layout
The first thing you’ll notice at the Triple Edge Poker table is that you have three sets of betting areas. You can play any one of these hands or all of them. It’s up to you.
There is a rectangular area to put your ante and a circle with a + symbol for the pair plus bets. You’ll also see some chips and arrows near the bottom of the screen where you choose the amount to wager.

Triple Edge Poker Payouts
Each bet in Triple Edge Poker has a paytable. The pair plus bet pays according to the paytable no matter the outcome of the hand. However, your payout on the ante and raise are affected by the house’s hand.
Ante Bet Pay Table
Hand | Payout |
---|---|
Straight Flush | 5 to 1 |
Three of a Kind | 4 to 1 |
Up to Straight | 1 to 1 |
Dealer Doesn’t Qualify | 1 to 1 (ante bet only) |
Pair Plus Pay Table
Hand | Payout |
---|---|
Straight Flush | 40 to 1 |
Three of a Kind | 30 to 1 |
Straight | 6 to 1 |
Flush | 4 to 1 |
Up to Pair | 1 to 1 |
Dealer Qualification

The dealer needs at least a queen to “qualify.” If they qualify and your hand wins, you get paid on both the ante and the raise. If you lose, then all bets are lost. A push is a tie, in which case all wagers get returned.
If the dealer doesn’t qualify after you ante and raise, you get a 1:1 payout on only your ante.
How to Play Triple Edge Poker
Triple Edge Poker is a fast-paced game with only a couple of decisions to make. Follow this step-by-step guide to play a hand from start to finish with confidence.
Place Your Ante Bet
Choose a bet amount and move it to the rectangular “ANTE” area on your screen. You can choose to play up to three hands, each with different bets.Place Side Bets (Optional)
Before the hand starts, you can place an additional wager in the circular “PAIR PLUS” area if you think your hand will have a pair or stronger. This section of the board has a prominent + symbol on it.Deal the Cards
Click “DEAL” to begin the round. Each hand with an ante will get three cards face up, and the dealer will get three face down.Player Decisions
Now you must choose whether to “RIDE,” which doubles your wager and lets you see the dealer’s cards, or “FOLD.”Winning & Losing
Winning hands get automatically paid out based on the rules and paytables. Losing bets go to the house.

Triple Edge Poker Strategy
Triple Edge Poker’s strategy is straightforward. Stick to these two simple rules, and you’ll have optimal results. Beginners should keep in mind that like-suited hands are flushes, so the card value does not matter in those cases.

When to “Ride”
If you have a hand with a Queen-Six-Four or better, click “Ride” to raise your bet.

When to Fold
If you hold three cards weaker than Q-6-4, then you should fold and save your money.
The Odds of the Game
With optimal play, the game has an overall house edge of 5.32%. If you follow the tips above, you’ll win about 44.91% of hands, lose 55.03% of the time, and push on the remaining 0.06% hands.
