Regulated online gaming in Delaware continues to show mixed results. Online poker struggles while casino games are trending in a positive direction.
Delaware’s three poker sites raked $19,368 in February. That is the lowest recorded monthly revenue in the state’s online poker history, even when accounting for the fewer number of days in February. Delaware’s poker site raked $692 per day on average last month.
November 2016 was the previous record low for Delaware online poker revenue. The state’s poker sites raked $23,057 that month, an average of $769 per day.
Delaware poker rake was down 29 percent against February 2016 when accounting for the extra day due to leap year. Online poker revenue was down 16 percent against the previous month on an average daily basis.
Delaware’s online casino revenue was $231,207 in February. This was up 16 percent against February 2016 when accounting for the leap year difference. It was up 34 percent against January on an average daily revenue basis.
Delaware’s internet table games won $114,250 in February. That was the second highest table game win in the Delaware Lottery’s internet gambling history. April 2014 recorded a table game win of $137,372. The house hold in February was 1.4 percent of total handle. Delaware’s online casinos only offer blackjack and roulette in the table games menu.
The Delaware Lottery offers 12 online slots and one video poker title. These games combined to win $116,958 in February. The games in this category held 6 percent of the handle last month.
There were 247 new accounts registered in February. This number is in line with recent averages when accounting for the number of days in February. The lowest monthly registration number on record was 210. That occurred in April 2015.
The three video lottery casinos in Delaware dedicate a section of their websites for licensed online gambling. Those casinos are Delaware Park, Harrington Raceway and Dover Downs.
