G2E Goes Virtual: What to Expect at Global Gaming Expo

G2E goes virtual

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many major online gambling events in the US were canceled. But some chose to go virtual, like the Global Gaming Exposition (G2E). This American expo’s annual event will occur online this year because the initial in-person event that was originally scheduled between October 5 until October 8 was canceled.

See what to expect from the expo’s digital version, set to begin on October 14th.

News Highlights

  • Global Gaming Exposition (G2E) will be a virtual event this year
  • The expo’s main events will happen on October 27 and 28
  • The event features industry insights, network opportunities, and expert education

G2E Goes Virtual

This year’s Global Gaming Exposition (G2E) was initially set to be held at the Las Vegas Sands Expo & Convention Center from October 5 until October 8. However, due to COVID-19, it will now take place online, and it will cover all key subjects that were to be covered in-person.

As you may as well know, G2E is one of America’s major gambling expos, created by the American Gaming Association (AGA), in collaboration with Reed Exhibitions, responsible for organizing the events.

It is an annual event where industry experts gather to exchange information. The expo is important as it offers all attendees insights and opportunities to grow in the industry.

Global Gaming Expo 2020

This year’s event will inevitably cover topics related to the COVID-19 pandemic, such as the changes involved, the challenges everyone faces, and ways to handle the situation.

It will also include other pressing topics like tribal gaming and US sports betting legalization. And, as pointed out by Korbi Carrison, the G2E Event Director:

As the industry continues to navigate reopening, G2E’s virtual offering will reconvene the community to advance our collective recovery. This platform allows us to bring the expo experience directly to attendees wherever they are, providing access to education, and enabling the connections that make the in-person event special.

The online platform will also allow buyers and exhibitors to conduct business through product demos, showrooms, AI-driven match matching, and even one-on-one meetings.

Exhibitors and Sponsors

G2E Goes virtual

At the first G2E event, there were over 375 exhibitors, but that number has nearly tripled in size, and this year, hundreds of exhibitors will present their products and services. Among them, we can mention 1xBet, Adata Technology, Betfred, Trustly, XSGames, and Sportradar.

The official media supporters include SBCNews, Gaming America, Slot Management & Marketing, 5 Star iGaming Media, Casino Careers, GPWA, TG & H, and Bingo Life. We could notice IAGA, Global Gaming Women, and the National Indian Gaming Association among the education partners.

Global Gaming Expo Agenda

Plenty of events will occur in this year’s G2E. The official pass to the Virtual Experience will cost $125, of which $25 would go to donations to the ICRG (International Center for Responsible Gaming). The Kickoff Session and Preview will be free.

Now, let’s check out the events by days and highlight the main talks that will take place.

October 14 – Kickoff Session

The panel members Laura Stensgar, Justin Carter, and Kathy George, CEOs of US casinos, and Brian Christopher, the moderator, will discuss “Leading Through COVID-19: Real Conversations on Resilience”. A Product Spotlight will follow with three 15-minutes sessions.

October 15 – 26 – Planning and Exploration

Attendees will be able to book meetings, see what keynotes and panels are on offer, find vendors or products, and plan what they want to see during their two expo days.

October 27 – Virtual G2E Experience Day 1

There will be topics such as “Online Gambling: Is Your State Next?” “How Payments Modernization Advances Responsible Gaming?” and “Pandemic or Not: How Consumer Attitudes and Behavior Are Changing?

October 28 – Virtual G2E Experience Day 2

The topics on Day 2 will include “The Operators’ Guide to Omnichannel Systems,” “Gaming During the Pandemic – Views from across the Industry,” and “Where Do We Go from Here: Part 2 – The Regulatory Response.”

Quality Online Gambling Insights at G2E

G2E has been an expo that offers quality online gambling insights since day one. This year’s digital version will be no different in that aspect.

This flagship event brings the industry together, allowing attendees to learn from and hear from experts who share their knowledge. Getting expert education, industry insights, and network opportunities are what the Global Gaming Expo Virtual Experience will offer.
