ICE North America 2019 EventFor the first time on American shores, the ICE global conference and exhibition show has been made possible thanks to Clarion Gaming. The company has been responsible for organizing ICE Totally Gaming in London, as well as ICE Africa, events known for its record-breaking attendance and revolutionary industry breakthroughs. From May 13 to 15, visitors will get the chance to attend educational seminars, panels, and get a glimpse of the latest topics in the gambling industry.

News Highlights

  • ICE North America is set to happen from May 13 – 15, 2019.
  • iGaming, iLottery, and sports betting are among the key pillars of the event.
  • Conference panel will touch on some of the latest industry trends and topics.

Introducing ICE North America

For a long time, the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) has been the ultimate US show when it comes to gaming discussions and innovations. Alternatively, ICE remained on European soil, dominating across the continent and further expanding into new territories like Africa.

ICE VOX North America has resulted from this tendency. The event will run from May 13-15 and is set to take place in the Boston Convention Centre. As illustrated on the official website, the five main pillars of this event are:

  • Sports Betting
  • Interactive Gaming
  • ESports
  • iLottery
  • Affiliate Marketing

Strong Focus on Sports Betting

It seems the focus of this year’s event is sports betting. The extensive range of tech discussions and exhibitions set to be showcased around the topic is only proof of this. Keith O’Loughlin from Senior VP Sportsbook, SG Digital, has put this balance between sports betting and innovations quite nicely:

ICE North America will be a massively impactful event. We’re thrilled to support Clarion in their vision of creating a space for thought leaders, manufacturers, and operators to showcase the latest in gaming technology. We’re at a cornerstone in the history of betting in the States, and it’s great to see Clarion at the heart of the change, giving providers a platform to showcase the latest and greatest technology.

Keep Your Eyes Open for Top Panels

A top panel recommended to ICE North America visitors is precisely one that further addresses the focus on technology rather than betting itself in the US. Founder and president of Applied Management Strategies, Roy Student, is the speaker for this specific panel named, “Adopting Technology to Reinvent the IR Experience”.

While amenities increase in importance as the revenue generator, technology is what will underlie gaming and non-gaming offerings to create a fully immersive and smooth experience.

Invited Speakers

The state of flux that US betting and gambling practices have found themselves in recently could be properly resolved through such ‘integrated resorts’. Roy Student is set to address the future of US casinos and gambling establishments and has invited a number of MVPs to contribute to the discussion, including:

Bobby Soper

CEO of Sun Gaming & Hospitality

Ryan Carrier

Director of Casino Resorts, Agilysys

Walt Fales

SVP Strategic Development, Enterprise Gaming, Caesars Entertainment

Oliver Akinrele

Deputy Director of Platform Solutions & Snr Engineer, Panasonic

Must-See Conferences at ICE North America

The remaining panels greatly address the matter of legal sports betting as the current buzz around the country. The select topics and knowledgeable speakers make many of them worth the while:

  1. US Sports and Wagering 2019 and 2029: Building a New Industry From the Ground Up
  2. One Year on From the Supreme Court Case, How Much has the US Eaten Into an Illegal Market of Billions?
  3. Motion: We Need to Redefine Gambling vs. Gaming
  4. Motion: The DoJ Reinterpretation of the Wire Act Creates Short-Term Headaches but will Lead to Legal Clarity in the Long-Term
