Mixed Game Festival IX: Mark Your Calendar for November 3-7

On Wednesday, CardPlayer Lifestyle announced the schedule for Mixed Game Festival IX. The series will run from November 3 to 7 at Resorts World Las Vegas. If you are not familiar with the Mixed Game Festival Series, it is a series of low-stakes mixed cash games and tournaments.

Players enjoy the series because the focus is more on fun and social interaction than winning cash stacks. It is common to see local pros attend the festival, including Hall of Fame players like Eli Elezra and Linda Johnson.

Mixed game poker continues to grow in popularity, and the Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival is the perfect place to dip your toes in the water for the first time.

This time around, players can interact with PokerStars Ambassadors as part of the festival, adding an extra layer of fun and excitement to the series.

As part of the festival, three mixed game tournaments will be held from November 7-9. Here’s the list of mixed game events you can play:

  • November 7 – $550 H.E.R.O.S.
  • November 8 – $5,300 8-Game
  • November 9 – $550 8-Game

I spoke with Cardplayer Lifestyle and Mixed Game Festival founder Robbie Strazynski and asked him why players should come out to play at the Mixed Game Festival. He stated the following:

“Mixed game poker continues to grow in popularity, and the Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival is the perfect place to dip your toes in the water for the first time.

Many longtime Texas hold’em players don’t realize that there’s even something called fixed-limit poker, which most mixed games are.

At limits of $4/8, you can sit down with just $100 or $200 and play for hours without worrying that one or two mistakes might get you stacked. Plus, almost by definition, mixed games are far more social, leading to a much better poker planes experience overall.”

Come for the Games and Stay for the Prizes

If you love swag, then the Mixed Game Festival is for you. The event is famous for its games and giveaways. During the series, participants are eligible to win a myriad of prizes, including Cardplayer and PokerStars merchandise.

The grand prize is a pair of entries into the $550 tournaments.

NAPT and Mixed Game Festival IX: Two Events in One

Mixed Game Festival IX is part of the NAPT Las Vegas series that will be running from November 1-10. PokerStars runs the NAPT and will partner with CardPlayer Lifestyle to co-host the event. The NAPT will run 36 events, mostly NL Hold’em tournaments.

We’re thrilled to be hosting the upcoming NAPT once again this year starting November 1. And that’s not all – we’re bringing together two of our favorite events: the NAPT and the Cardplayer Lifestyle’s Mixed Game Festival!

Event buy-ins range from $550 to $25,550 for the NAPT Super High Roller.

The NAPT Main Event will kick off on November 6 with a $5,300 buy-in. The event has a $3 million guarantee. If you want to win your way into the series, satellites will be held during the series, or you can play at PokerStars in NJ or PA. International players can also play their way into the series online.

Leon Wheeler, Director of Poker Operations at Resorts World, spoke at the event, stating the following:

“We’re thrilled to be hosting the upcoming NAPT once again this year starting November 1. And that’s not all – we’re bringing together two of our favorite events: the NAPT and the Cardplayer Lifestyle’s Mixed Game Festival!

This is going to be an unforgettable experience. Mark your calendars and join us for an incredible time!”

Get Ready: Plan Your Trip to Mixed Game Festival IX

While I have never participated in a Mixed Game Festival, I love the concept. When I traveled the country playing semi-professionally, most of my focus was on mixed games. They are a lot of fun, and competent mixed-game players have an edge over NL specialists.

I’ve known Robbie for a decade and know his passion for poker and mixed games. His Mixed Game Festivals are wildly popular and worth the trip.

Mark your calendars and start making plans now to attend. Good luck at the tables!
