Rules and Payouts
Easy Over Under is played using the typical table game setup, with up to six players ringing a semicircular table, while a dealer runs things from the opposite side.
A pair of standard six-sided dice are used, along with a standard 52 card deck of playing cards. Rather than using the traditional card ranking system, Easy Over Under assigns a set of ranks to each card in the deck.
The dice used in the game hold the usual values, so any roll can produce point totals of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12.
The point system used for the cards was designed to replicate those found on the dice, so the average roll will produce a 7 while the average card dealt will also produce 7 points.

Play Easy Over Under
Place Your Wager
Each hand begins with players placing their wagers before the dealer shakes and rolls the pair of dice. Unless the dealer rolls a 7, players may then place an optional side bet (which will be described in detail later in this section), and the dealer will complete the hand by distributing a single card.
Depending on the relationship between the dice total and the card value, players either win or lose their various wagers.
Over, Under, or Bet the Spread
Players have three primary betting options to choose from before each roll of the dice: Over, Under, or Bet the Spread.
- Betting on Over: you’re hoping that the value of the card will be higher than the total of the dice roll.
- Betting on Under: you’re hoping that the value of the card will be lower than the dice roll.
In each case, winners payout at even money on your initial wager.
Betting the Spread
By betting on the Bet the Spread option, you’re hoping that the difference (or spread) between the card value and the dice total will be high rather than low. Any spread of 5 or less results in a loss, a spread of 6 produces a push, and spreads of 7 or higher are paid out according to an escalating pay table.
When wagering on the Bet the Spread option, you’re hoping to hit the highest spread possible, which is 11. This occurs when the dealer rolls a 2 and deals out a King for a 13 point value, or rolls a 12 and deals out an Ace for a 1 point value. In this case, you’d earn a payout of 30 to 1 on your money for landing the longshot.
Smaller spreads payout at reduced rates according to the increased probability of each spread occurring.
Getting a Tie
When the card value is exactly equal to the dice roll, resulting in a tie, you’ll lose exactly one-half of your Over or Under bet. When the dice produce “doubles,” or matching totals, however, a tied card value will result in a push and your bet being returned.
Short Side Wager
In cases when the dealer doesn’t roll a 7, you can then decide to bet on the Short Side wager. The amount of your short side wager can be anything up to the amount of your Over or Under wager.
- When the roll of the dice produces a total lower than 7, the Short Side wager pays out on card values that are less than the roll of the dice.
- When the roll of the dice produces a total higher than 7, the Short Side wager pays out on card values that are more than the roll of the dice.
The same rule regarding ties that is used for the Over and Under wagers also applies to the Short Side bet, so when the card value is exactly equal to the dice roll, you’ll lose half your wager. When the dice are doubles, however, ties between the card value and the dice roll will produce a push.
Start a New Round
Once all winning wagers have been settled and losing bets claimed by the house, the dealer will reshuffle the deck and begin a new hand.

The hybrid table game Easy Over Under was designed and developed by casino game manufacturer Paradigm Table Games Incorporated in 2010.
