How to Play Craps in Las Vegas

It’s always fun to be in games with many players, and craps tables have room for up to 20 people. However, you want to choose a table that suits your budget to make the most out of your gameplay. Follow these simple steps and learn how to play craps in Vegas like a pro.

  1. Buy-In

Hand your money to a dealer, and they will give you chips. It is best to do this after a roll is complete because there are only certain times you can get into the game. The table has a built-in tray for your chips.
  2. Place Your Bets

Put your chips on the area you want to bet. You can put your chips only on certain spots during a round. A new round usually begins with pass-line bets. If you are in doubt, the crew members will be happy to help.
  3. Watch the Roll

After the wagers are down, the stickman will pass the dice to the shooter who tosses them. The stickman announces the number when the dice settle, and the dealers collect and award chips. You can then take your winnings, make new bets, or leave your chips on your original choice.
  4. Play The Round

The round of rolls progresses until a 7 is rolled, and the bets are cleared. Those numbers plus craps (2, 3, 12), or the original point number, determine the length of the round. At the end of a round, a new player gets to roll.

Craps Odds | What Are The Best Odds In Las Vegas?

The following craps odds guide will help you maximize winnings and increase your house edge when you play in Las Vegas. Most craps tables on the Las Vegas Strip offer 3/4/5 times odds. This means that a player can wager three times the flat bet on a 4 and 10, four times on a five and 9, and five times on a six and eight. The maximum win with odds on any of these numbers equals six times the flat bet.

A notable exception is The Cromwell, where players may take odds up to 100 times the original wager. Downtown Las Vegas and the local market tend to spread ten times odds, although there are some exceptions.

Below you can find a list of each odds grouping with the amount permitted by each house.
