Pai Gow in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Pai Gow

Pai Gow Poker is a popular table game in Las Vegas. It is a fun and challenging poker variant that involves strategy skills to assemble two good hands from cards you receive.

One draw of Pai Gow Poker is its slow pace and number of pushes. It helps players stay in the game longer and rack up free drinks. The low minimum bet is also another draw. Some casinos spread it for as little as $5 at local joints.

This Las Vegas Pai Gow survey covers a list of all the casinos that offer the game, the minimum and maximum bets, and much more!

How to Play Pai Gow in Las Vegas

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to play Pai Gow in Las Vegas.

  1. Place a Bet

You will need to ante in a marked area. At some tables, a dice roll sets the deal order. Then the dealer will deal seven face-up cards to each player and seven facing down to themself.
  2. Set Your Hands

Once everyone gets cards, you arrange two hands – one five-card hand and one two-card hand – from the cards you are dealt. You will have two areas to build these hands, usually marked High and Low.
  3. The Dealer Sets Their Hands

The dealer then reveals his cards and uses guidelines called “house way rules” to arrange the hands.
  4. The Outcome is Decided

You win if both of your hands beat the dealer’s, or lose if both of the dealer’s hands are better. A split result is a tie or push.
